The male reproductive glands are essential to sperm because a mucus-based fluid is secreted during the sexual arousal phase often known as pre-ejaculate and so it is before ejaculation. Pre-ejaculate lubricates the urethra as well as the tip of the penis to facilitate the flow of sperm. From the age of 12, the male starts producing sperm.
