To Compare: The direction of a magnetic force on the charged particle and the direction of the electric force.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
An electric field is associated with the charged particles while a magnetic field is associated with the moving charged particles.
In the case of the electric field, the electric force is in the same direction of the electric field and the magnetic force is quite opposite. In the case of magnetic force, it is in the normal or perpendicular direction to the magnetic field’s direction. The electric force correlated with the electric field does not depend on the velocity of the particle but the magnetic force acts on the charged particle only when the particle is in the motion.
