Chapter 33.5, Problem 1SB
Summary Introduction
To review:
The areas and mechanisms of secondary growth in plants.
Introduction:
Secondary growth is the result of division and growth in lateral meristem, which is also called secondary meristem. Secondary growth is responsible for the girth of the plant. It is found in woody plants, trees, and shrubs. The two different types of lateral meristem are cork cambium and vascular cambium.
