Concept explainers
Describe the electric field lines in the space between a pair of parallel plates with equal and opposite charges.
To explain: The electric field lines in the space between a pair of parallel plates with equal and opposite charges.
Explanation of Solution
The electric field line start from charge objects perpendicular to its surface. In a parallel charged plate the electric field lines start from positive plate and end at the negative plate. Electric field lines are normal to the both parallel plate. These field lines are parallel to each other at the center and making a small curve only at the corner of the plate.
