Which force—gravitational or electrical—repels as well as attracts?
To explain: Which force, gravitational or electrical repeals as well as attracts .
Answer to Problem 1A
Electrical force, repeals as well as attracts.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction: Gravitational force takes place between two objects (or masses). Electrical force takes place , between two charges. Gravitational force is proportional to the product of two mass and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Similarly electrical forces is directly proportional to the product of two charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance them.
If the two electrical charges are same (i.e. both positive or both negative) , then the electrical force is repulsive. If two electric charges are different i.e. one negative and another positive, then the electrical charges attracts.
