If there is a consensus in class about the top three intrinsic or extrinsic characteristics and what explains whether there is or not.
Concept Introduction: A class is divided into group of 5-6 people and each class member is asked to write the job title of her or his first ideal job after college and then list the first three characteristics of the job satisfaction they would be looking for in the job. Also they need to identify each job satisfaction characteristics as an intrinsic satisfier or an extrinsic one by making an “I” or “E” next to it. The next step is to make two columns with headings “I” and “E and list all the Intrinsic and Extrinsic characteristics under respective columns in descending order of their preferences.
Interpretation: Once the class reassembles to share their findings, discuss if there is a general agreement to the top three intrinsic or extrinsic characteristics that is if there are any the top three intrinsic and extrinsic factors list that is the common choice of majority of the students in the class.
