Legal institutions are rules of society or the humanly devised limitations that shape human interactions. These are a subset of the overall institutional framework. These legal institutions protect businesses from different aspects based on how strong the legal institution is.
In order to start the business or conduct the business there are legal costs involved, when these costs are too high businesses are less likely to invest and do business in those countries.
