February Days
The month of February normally has 28 days. But if it is a leap year, February has 29 days. Write a
1. Determine whether the year is divisible by 100. If it is, then it is a leap year if and only if it is also divisible by 400. For example, 2000 is a leap year, but 2100 is not.
2. If the year is not divisible by 100, then it is a leap year if and only if it is divisible by 4. For example, 2008 is a leap year, but 2009 is not.
Here is a sample run of the program:
Enter a year: 2008 Enter
In 2008 February has 29 days.

Write a program that calculates a theater’s gross and net box office profit for a night. The program should ask for the name of the movie, and how many adult and child tickets were sold. (The price of an adult ticket is $10.00 and a child’s ticket is $6.00.) Input: the name of the movie, number of adult tickets sold, number of child tickets sold Output: as specified below Object: cin, cout, getline, format output Note: 1. Movie names contain spaces 2, the report is aligned. 3. The decimal number is displayed with 2 decimal places.arrow_forwardInterest Rates Savings accounts state an interest rate and a compounding period. If theamount deposited is P, the stated interest rate is r, and interest is compounded m timesper year, then the balance in the account after one year is P⋅(1+rm)m. For instance, if$1000 is deposited at 3% interest compounded quarterly (that is, 4 times per year), thenthe balance after one year is1000⋅(1+.034)4=1000⋅1.00754=$1,030.34.Interest rates with different compounding periods cannot be compared directly. The concept of APY (annual percentage yield) must be used to make the comparison. TheAPY for a stated interest rate r compounded m times per year is defined byAPY=(1+rm)m−1.(The APY is the simple interest rate that yields the same amount of interest after oneyear as the compounded annual rate of interest.) Write a program to compare interestrates offered by two different banks and determine the most favorable interest rate. SeeFig. 4.24.arrow_forward
- Time CalculatorWrite a program that asks the user to enter a number of seconds.-There are 60 seconds in a minute. If the number of seconds entered by the user is greater than or equal to 60, the program should display the number of minutes and leftover seconds in that many seconds.-There are 3,600 seconds in an hour. If the number of seconds entered by the user is greater than or equal to 3,600, the program should display the number of hours, minutes, and leftover seconds in that many seconds.-There are 86,400 seconds in a day. If the number of seconds entered by the user is greater than or equal to 86,400, the program should display the number of days, hours, minutes, and leftover seconds in that many seconds.arrow_forwardRetail price calculator Write a program that asks the user to enter an item’s wholesale cost and its markup percentage. It should then display the item’s retail price. For example: • If an item’s wholesale cost is 5.00 and its markup percentage is 100 percent, then the item’s retail price is 10.00.• If an item’s wholesale cost is 5.00 and its markup percentage is 50 percent, then the item’s retail price is 7.50. The program should have a method named calculateRetail that receives the wholesale cost and the markup percentage as arguments and returns the retail price of the item.arrow_forwardC#arrow_forward

The program should then determine whether the month times the day is equal to the year. If so, it should display a message saying the date is Magic. Otherwise, it should display a message saying the date is not Magic. Output should look as shown below. Create test data and place in a file. Name the code file Last Name + First Initial + "-MagicDates.s", for example "SmithJ- MagicDates.s". Name the test data file in a similar manner. Upload the program and test data files to the Dropbox. 6/10/60 is Magic! 6/10/70 is not Magic. 2/11/22 is Magic!arrow_forwardExercise II Write a program that finds the positive integer solutions of the following equation ax³ + bx² + cx' + d = 0. The user enters the values of coefficients a, b, c and d. The program should test each integer starting from -50 to 50, and each time the equation is equal to zero, it prints its value as well as "is a solution". At the end, it displays the total number of positive integers found. Note that if the equation has more than one solution, the plural word “solutions" is used in the output. Sample run 1: Enter the coefficient of a, b, c, d: 1 -8.5 21 -13.5 1 is a solution 3 is a solution The equation has 2 integers as solutions Sample run 2: Enter the coefficient of a, b, c, d: 6 48 103.5 67.5 The equation has no integer solutions Sample run 3: Enter the coefficient of a, b, c, d: 1 -1 -12 0 4 is a solution The equation has 1 integer solutionarrow_forward
- Fat Percentage Calculator One gram of fat has 9 calories. If you know the number of fat grams in a particular food, you can use the following formula to calculate the number of calories that come from fat in that food: Calories from fat = Fat grams × 9 If you know the food’s total calories, you can use the following formula to calculate the percentage of calories from fat: Percentage of calories from fat = Calories from fat ÷ Total calories Create an application that allows the user to enter: • The total number of calories for a food item • The number of fat grams in that food item The application should calculate and display: • The number of calories from fat • The percentage of calories that come from fat Also, the application’s form should have a CheckBox that the user can check if he or she wants to know whether the food is considered low fat. (If the calories from fat are less than 30% of the total calories of the food, the food is considered low fat.) The input to the program is the number of hours the employee works in one week and the employee’s hourly pay rate. The program is to calculate the employee’s gross pay including the possibility of overtime pay. Regular pay is the number of hours the employee worked (up to 40 hours) times the hourly rate. The program is to compute an overtime pay if the employee worked more than 40 hours. All hours beyond 40 should be multiplied to 1.5 for the OT differential pay The program should output the worker’s regular pay, overtime time, and the gross pay (sum of the regular pay and overtime pay).
