Resolve projectile motion into two independent one-dimension motion, one is horizontal motion along with and another is vertical motion along.

Along vertical direction, initial velocity is: uy=usinθ

Along horizontal direction, acceleration is: ax=0

Along vertical direction, acceleration is: ay=g

Time of flight, Tf=2usinθg

Calculation:

First, calculate the time of flight:

  Tf=2usinθgTf=2×30×sin 30o9.8Tf=3.06s
