Introduction: Lichen is a stable relationship between a fungal partner and photosynthetic partners. The photosynthetic partner is generally a green algae or Cyanobacteria. Fungal partner depends on photoautotrophs for food. They can be found growing in almost all parts of the terrestrial world from tropical rain forest to mobile sand dunes.
