Chapter 26.3, Problem 2SB
Summary Introduction
To review:
The method through which methanogens obtain energy and the group to which they belong.
Introduction:
The groups of bacteria that differ from the normal bacteria and inhabit the extreme conditions are termed as Archaea. They are classified on the basis of their DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and ribosomal RNA (ribonucleic acid) sequences and are divided into several small groups, namely, Euryarchaeota, Creanarchaeota, and Nanoarchaeota.
