Chapter 26, Problem 6MC
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Pseudomonas syringae is a Gram-negative bacterium. It produces a protein which is capable of ice crystals formation. The strain of “bacterium” which lacks the protein producing gene helps in protecting plants. When sprayed on crops it protects the plants from damage caused due to cold and ice, as it inhibits the formation of ice.
