Introduction:
Microscopic examination of a vaginal smear is used to detect the microbial infection and other diseases. This test can be done using vaginal secretions or discharge. A small drop of vaginal discharge with salt solution (PBS) is placed on a glass slide and covered with a cover slip. Clue cells, bacterial and yeast growth can be observed under the microscope.
