Introduction:Arthropods are grouped into classes based on common characteristics, such as body segment form, appendages and mouthparts. The naming of arthropods is still questioned by taxonomists. Arthropods have joint-appended exoskeletons that allow them to move in diverse ways.

Explanation of Solution
Insects operate with open circulatory systems. Although most insects don't rely on their circulatory systems to provide oxygen, they rely on their circulatory systems to hold nutrients and extract waste. The blood of the insect is pumped by a heart into vessels which carry the blood to the tissues of the body. The muscles become filled with blood, which returns through open spaces in the body to the nucleus.Blood preserves homeostasis in tissues by food supply and waste elimination.
Animals have closed circulatory systems. Closed circulatory systems differ from open circulatory systems because blood never exits the vessels of the blood. Actually, it is continually moved from one blood vessel to another, without forming a cavity. Blood is carried in one way, providing cells with oxygen and nutrients, and extracting the waste materials.The cardiovascular system is made up of both the heart (cardio) and the arteries needed for blood (vascular) flow. Arteries, veins and capillaries make up the vascular system. Vertebrates (including most primates, animals with backbones such as fish, birds, reptiles etc.) have closed cardiovascular systems.
Thus, it concludes thatinsects possess open circulatory systems, whereas other vertebrates animals possess closed circulatory system.
