Which word or name has the same symmetry as the letters in the name ZAK? (Explain your answer.)
- a. NUT
- b. SUE
- c. CAL
- d. BIG

Find the word which has the same symmetry of ZAK.
Answer to Problem 1PQ
The word which has the same symmetry of ZAK is SUE.
Explanation of Solution
In the word ZAK, the first letter has the 180 degree rotational symmetry and the first letter in the word SUE also have the 180 degree rotational symmetry. The second letter in the word ZAK has the mirror symmetry around the y axis same way the second letter in the word SUE also have mirror symmetry around y axis.
The third letter in the word ZAK has the mirror symmetry around the x axis the same way the third letter in the word SUE has the mirror symmetry around the x axis. Therefore the word SUE has the same symmetry of ZAK.
