Nucleic acids are polymers of nucleotides. Nucleotides, sugar, and phosphates are combined together to form a DNA or RNA based on the sugar present. This DNA or RNA are two forms located in genes on the chromosomes. The genes are the fundamental unit of hereditary. Genes are the sequence of DNA that has the message of coding an amino acid for proper functioning of the body.
