Concept Introduction:
Cytidine triphosphate abbreviated as CTP is a pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphate which is much like ATP. Only difference is the base, which the base used in CTP is cytosine. CTP acts as a coenzyme reactions like synthesis of glycerophospholipids and glycosylation of proteins.
