Horizanal gene transfer is transfer of DNA between different genome. Horizontal gene tranfer is very common between different species of bacteria. However, it also occur between prokaryotic and eukaryotic species and it has occur frequentlybetween three genome found in eukaryotic cell namely the nuclear, mitochondrial and chloroplast genome. Horizontal gene transfer also known as lateral gene transfer. It is process to pass genetic material from parents to offspring.
