Chapter 23, Problem 20CYU
Summary Introduction
To review:
The fate of ammonia that is removed from amino acids, when amino acids are being used as energy fuel.
Introduction:
The amino acid is an organic compound, which contains carboxyl and amino group. They act as building blocks for proteins. Proteins have a small lifespan and thus are degraded to recycle amino acids. These amino acids can be either used for the synthesis of proteins or fats, and also be oxidized for the generation of energy.
