The reason gas comes out from the solution while shaking or pouring a carbonated drink.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
The solubility of gas is increasedon increasing the pressure on the gas in liquid.
In soft drinks bottles, the pressure of gas inside is very high due to which gas remains dissolved in bottles.
On shaking the bottle or opening the bottle, pressure of gas decreases due to which the gas comes out of the liquid.
Conclusion:
Thus, when a carbonated drink is shaken or poured, there occurs lowering of pressure of gas on the surface and more number of gas molecules emerges out on the surface of the solution where they escape from liquid and hence come out of the solution.
