Weight of atmosphere, Fg=105N

Density, ρ=1.2kg/m3

Formula Used:

The pressure can be given as,

  P=ρgh

Where, ρ is density, g is gravitational acceleration and h is height.

The other formula of pressure is, P=FA

Where, F is force and A is area in contact.

Calculation:

The pressure is,

  P=FgA=105N1m2=105N/m2

Taking g=10m/s2

Now, putting the values in formula P=ρgh

  105N/m2=(1.2kg/m3)(10m/s2)hh=1051.2×10m=8333.33mh=8.33km
