Introduction:

The process of vision involves the basic principles of absorption, reflection, refraction, and scattering of light. The process of light changing its speed and direction when encountering a heavier medium like the eye lens also leads to resizing of the actual image. It helps the eye to detect objects that are physically small. This principle can be applied in simple and compound microscopes to resolve minute objects because the eyes have limited resolving power.
