Scientific Management is a management philosophy that aims at making organizational decisions based on mathematical and scientific study. Frederick Winslow Taylor's philosophy focused on the belief that making people work as hard as they could was not as efficient as optimizing the way the work was done. The characteristics of Scientific Management include selection of suitable employees for the designated job, Standard trainings for workers, wage incentives for higher productivity and support of work planning.
