Define atom.

To define:
The term atom.
Introduction:
The smallest unit present on earth which makes all living and non-living things in different combinations is called an atom.
Explanation of Solution
The matter is made up of the most stable and smallest units. The uniqueness of each and every matter is decided by these atoms. The sub-atomic particles involved in the formation of atom are the protons, neutrons and electrons.
The mass and size of protons and neutrons is similar as compared to electrons which are light in weight. Protons and neutrons are positive and negative respectively. Neutrons are neutral in nature, thus have no electric charge. The nucleus is the central part of an atom having both proton and neutron which decides the total mass of an atom.
