Introduction:

It is of utmost importance to maintain the blood glucose levels in the body. The level of glucose in the blood decreases when glucose molecules are converted into the polymer glycogen. The breakdown of glycogen into glucose raises the level of glucose in the blood. Various endocrine secretions are involved in the process of glycogenesis and glycogenolysis.
