Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The process by which nicotine produces its stimulant effect is to be discussed.
Concept Introduction:
Stimulants are the drugs that stimulate the central nervous system. They produce an increased level of alertness, increased energy, decreased appetite and a sense of euphoria. All these effects are similar to the body's fight or fight response to potentially dangerous situations. Nicotine is the active drug found in cigarettes, chewing tobacco, nicotine gum and skin patches.
