Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The most important reaction of amino acid is formation of peptide bonds. In this reaction amines and acid can condense gives water and form amides. The amide linkage between the amino acids is called a peptide bond. In this way, any number of amino acid can be bonded in a continuous chain.

Concept Introduction:

Any number of amino acids can be bonded in a continuous chain in any order. The end of the peptide with the free amino group (NH3+) is called N terminus and the end of the peptide with the free carboxyl group

It is called C -terminus. Peptide structures are generally drawn with N terminus at the left and C terminus at the right. The nomenclature of peptide is also in the same sequence.
