Motivation is a process by which employees within an organization is influenced in terms of their behavioral patterns within the organization. It lays much focus on aspects such as effort, direction and persistence. From early days, many theories have been introduced to explain this concept that is of great importance. Although, the applicability of these theories is questionable within the current context, they have in fact been the base for many new theories that better suit modern organizations.
