Calculate the theoretical air fuel ratio for the combustion of octane
(C8H18).
A gaseous fuel has he following composition by volume – CH4 = 25%, CO= 10%,
H2= 6%, C3H8=10%. Calculate the weight of air required for complete
combustion.
The fuel supplied to a petrol engine is assumed to have the composition C10H22. If 42% excess air is supplied and combustion is complete . Calculate : 1- equivalence ratio. 2- The percentage volumetric.
