Concept Introduction:

Molar enthalpy for a process is amount of heat energy needed by 1mol of a substance to undergo change in the process. The heat energy absorbed by nmol of substance to undergo change is as follows:

  q=n(ΔH)

Here,

q is heat energy in kJ

n is moles of substance.

ΔH is the enthalpy for process in kJ/mol .

The value of ΔH is positive always as energy needed to overcome the interactions between the liquid molecules.
