Concept introduction: In response to a stimulus, the muscles or glands give reflexes that are rapid, preprogrammed, and involuntary responses. The reflex arc occurs as part of the reflex. Reflexes are very essential for survival. The reflexes are classified based on several aspects such as processing center, number of neurons involved, location or motor neuron, an effector, and so on.
