Summary Introduction

To determine: The person who cannot be the father of a child with the given blood groups of mother and child.

Introduction: Human blood group is an example of codominance. A gene has two pairs of alleles that are either dominant or recessive. Usually, in heterozygotes, the dominant allele masks the expression of a recessive allele, and so only the dominant allele is expressed. Codominance is a type of dominance in which both the alleles of a heterozygous gene are coexpressed resulting in a trait that is neither dominant nor recessive.
