Summary Introduction
Introduction: Human blood group is an example of co-dominance. A gene has two pairs of alleles, which are either dominant or recessive. Usually, in heterozygotes, the dominant allele masks the expression of a recessive allele and so only the dominant allele is expressed. Co-dominance is a type of dominance in which both the alleles of a heterozygous gene are co-expressed, resulting in a trait that is neither dominant nor recessive.
