Introduction: The cells that possess the ability to differentiate into several types of cells, and also the ability of self-renewal are known as stem cells. Embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells are two types of stem cells. Bone marrow and the umbilical cord blood are the two main sources to extract stem cells. Induced pluripotent stem cells are the third type of stem cells which are artificially developed in the laboratories.
