Introduction:

The sacral plexus is a nerve plexus that provides motor nerves as well as sensory nerves to the posterior thigh, lower leg, foot, and some parts of the pelvis. It is formed by thelumbosacral trunk anterior division of the first sacral nerves and a portion of the anterior division of the second and third sacral nerves. It is also differentiated in the posterior and anterior divisions.
