Summary Introduction

The reflex arcs of the following reflexes:

a. Simple stretch reflex

b. Flexion reflex

c. Gag reflex

d. Corneal blink reflex

Introduction:

There are two types of reflexes on the basis of a number of synapses that occur between the neurons involved in the arc, these involve monosynaptic reflex and polysynaptic reflex. On this basis of the type of organ in which reflex takes place, there are again two classes of the reflex arc, visceral reflex arc and somatic reflexes arc.
