Introduction:

Ribosome is the minute component of plant or animal cells. It consists of RNA and associated protein in a large amount in the cytoplasm. Ribosome binds to messenger RNA ( mRNA) and transfers RNA ( tRNA) to produce a polypeptide chain or a protein molecule. mRNA molecule usually conveys the genetic information stored in DNA to the ribosome where they specify the sequence of amino acids making a peptide molecule. The transferred RNA typically serves as the connecting link between the mRNA and amino acid.
