The expansion in the aluminium will be more and outside of the curve.

Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

The bimetallic strip is made of two material having different thermal coefficient.

The metals have a property to expand as the temperature increases. This is named as the coefficient of thermal expansion. From the reference table:

  $\begin{array}{l}{\alpha }_{Al}=25\times {10}^{-6}\text{/°C}\\ {\alpha }_{Fe}=12\times {10}^{-6}\text{/°C}\end{array}$

The value of coefficient of thermal expansion of aluminium is more than iron.

The expansion in the aluminium will be more and it will on outside of the curve.

Conclusion:

For the same increase in temperature the aluminium will expand more than the iron and it will be outside of the band.
