The function of the electrocardiogram(ECG) is to trace the electrical activity of the heart. In a normal person, the electrical impulse travel from sinoatrial node to the atrioventricular node through the ventricular septum of the heart. These impulses cause the contraction and relaxation of the all four chambers of the heart.
