Question
Chapter 12.3, Problem 5MI
Summary Introduction
To describe:
The central dogma of biology.
Expert Solution & Answer
Explanation of Solution
The central dogma of biology is a process of gene expression in different organisms. The central dogma says that DNA codes for the mRNA molecules. The mRNA molecules carry the codon, which can encode different amino acids and directs the synthesis of proteins.
Hence, according to central dogma, the process of gene expression is as follows:
DNA → RNA→ Proteins.
