Introduction:

Molecular complexing interactions and subcellular expression correspond to functional activities of the protein. A fluorescence microscopy-based technique is used to demonstrate localization. Fluorescent dyes or recombinant reporter proteins are used for fluorescence imaging. The overexpression of protein targets can be done by genetic modification of cells. It is used for defining disease mechanisms, fundamental cellular processes, and gene therapy. Antibodies are used to detect fusion protein tags.
