Area of first rectangle with length $l=5$ feet and breadth $b=3$ feet.

  $a=l\times b$

Formula of rectangle

  $=5\times 3$

Multiply the length and breadth

  $=15$ square feet.

Area of second rectangle with length $l=10$ feet and breadth $b=3$ feet.

  $a=l\times b$

Formula of rectangle

  $=10\times 3$

Multiply the length and breadth

  $=30$ square feet.

Adding the two areas would give the area of the counter-top

  $=15+30$

  $=45$ square feet.

Now, multiply this with the cost per square feet $52 per square foot.

  $=52\times 45$

Multiplying cost per square feet with the total area

  $=$ $ $2340$
