Introduction: The autonomic nervous system controls the smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, many glands, and adipose tissue. The ANS is divided into two categories; one is a sympathetic division that regulates the body at the time of threat or injury while the other one is the parasympathetic system that controls the body response at rest position.
