To explain: The working process of ultrasonic imaging.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Ultrasound imaging is sometimes called sonography, which is a method of utilizing sound waves of high frequency and used in medical diagnosis by producing pictures of the internal part of the human body.
In ultrasonic imaging, a machine is used which transmits ultrasound waves. These ultrasound waves which are of high frequency are transmitted to the body to detect any organ or diagnose any human body issues. Some of the waves get reflected as they hit any boundary. The system is connected to sensors and probes which collect the reflected waves. The computer measures the distance between the probe and the organ in the body using the frequency of sound in the organ and the time of the return of each echo. In the machine, the data is then interpreted in the form of a two-dimensional image.
