Skeletal muscle fiber cells are one of the important cells of the human body. They are elongated and cylindrical structures, which combine to form muscles. SR (sarcoplasmic reticulum) is a modification of ER (endoplasmic reticulum) and is present in skeletal muscle cells. SRmaintains the calcium ion concentration in the cell.
