Ear is the organ meant for hearing and balance, having three main parts, namely the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. The pinna and the ear canal come under the external ear, the middle ear (tympanic cavity) includes the three ossicles of the ear (malleus, incus, and stapes), and the inner ear contains the cochlea. The tympanic membrane divides the external ear from the middle ear.
