The color and the wavelength of light that stimulates two cone systems to the greatest degree.
Introduction:
Visual information is perceived by the rods and cone cells present in the retina. The sensitivity of cone cells to light stimulus is lower than that of the rod cells. The cone cells are responsible for visualizing colors and producing a sharper image. The light absorbing pigment in the cone cells consists of a photopsin protein associated with retinene molecule.
