The structural relationship among the A band, H-zone, and M-line in a resting skeletal muscle fiber.
Introduction:
Muscle contraction takes place due to the movement of the actin and myosin filaments, which are categorized under striated muscle fiber. The basic unit of muscle contraction is known as “sarcomere,” which is formed by the multiple repeating units of actin and myosin filaments. Sarcomere consists of long fibrous proteins as filaments. These filaments slide-past each other when a muscle relaxes or contracts.
