The demonstration of liquid state by the equation of state is usually difficult. Thus, the calculation of fugacity of a liquid depends on the saturated liquid state as a reference state.

Fugacity for liquid can be calculated by the equation given as follows:

Where,

  ϕisat= Fugacity coefficient at saturation

  Pisat = Pressure at saturation

  Vli = Volume of liquid

T= temperaturE

The fugacity coefficient for fugacity coefficient can be calculated as:

  ϕisat=exp[PrTr(B0+ωB1)]

Where,

  Pr = Reduced pressure

  Pr=PisatPc

Where,

Pc = Critical pressurE

Similarly, Tr = reduced temperature = TTC

  B0=0.0830.422Tr1.6B1=0.1390.172Tr4.2

B0 and B1are the correlation coefficient given in the book.
