Introduction: Homeostasis can be defined as the tendency to attain a stable internal equilibrium by adjusting various factors that are optimal for the survival. When the loss of any substance exceeds the gain of the total amount of substance present in the body, the body is said to be in a positive balance. When the gain of any substance exceeds the loss of the total amount of substance present in the body, the body is said to be in negative balance.
